This is the first of a short letter we'll send now and then, and I wanted to write the opening one myself.
Aykon Ventures is a Dubai house. We work across four things: real estate, jewels, architecture, and Aykon Catalyst. We hold them under one name, which happens to be mine. That last part is the whole of it: our name, our conviction.
What we are
We are not a developer, and we are not a brokerage. We are a marketing and holding house, licensed in the Meydan Free Zone, that takes a small stake in the work it puts its name to. When we market a property, we have read the title. When we set a stone, it was set by hand in our own room. When we shape architecture or back a founder, it is work we would put our name on in private.
The business we are in is, too often, kept deliberately vague. Our answer to that is plain disclosure. We will tell you the address, the material, the year, the size of our stake, and the regulated party who executes the deal. We will not quote a number we cannot stand behind, and we will never promise you a return. Certainty is the one thing worth offering, and it cannot be faked.
Where we are going
The plan is unhurried and specific. Build a house in Dubai that people come to for the decisions that matter, a first home, a first stone, a first room of one's own, and earn a place in those rooms by sitting on the same side of the table. From Dubai to Hyderabad, and to the cities after that, slowly, and only where we can put our name down honestly.
What you'll find here
Short letters, now and then. A note on something we're backing and the thinking underneath it. A part of the city, read closely. The occasional word from the workshop. No noise, no countdowns, nothing you need to act on today, written to be read slowly.
If you've found your way here early, thank you. Consider this an open door, and consider yourself part of the house. There is a great deal coming, and we would like you in the room for it. Stay close.
Name on it. Stake in it.
